The 2018 Special Raxen Report warns that there is an intensification on a global scale of acts of intolerance and hate speech; a phenomenon the authors have agreed to call the "globalization of intolerance," which, they warn, is normalizing identity hatred. The Internet is the perfect channel for creating and sharing hate speech. Insults are hurled at the stroke of a tweet, and threats are made from anonymity. In 2021 there were 1802 hate crimes. Being tolerant is a virtue that we must cultivate, are we acting against hate?
