Tuyue (tou joek) Village is about 17.5 kilometers north-east of Xi’nan Town and 1.5 kilometers northeast of Nanbian County Fair. It belongs to Nanbian Town. The population is 611 with surnames, such as Qian and Mai. The shape of the village resembles a rabbit (tou), hence its name. Commonly known as “tou goek (rabbit foot)” and “tou joek (folk remedy)” by homophony. The settlements are mixed along the hills, and the buildings are mostly brick-wood bungalows. There are 1218 acres of arable land (including 1010 acres of paddy fields), mainly for rice, and mostly peanuts and sugarcane grow on dry land. There are 65 acres of fish ponds, 21 acres of trees, and one primary school. A simple road leads to the Nanbian Town—Leping Road.
