The Russians are no longer trying to smuggle nuclear warheads into Cuba, the Americans are no longer Napalm-burning the Communist threat in Vietnam, the Soviet Politburo is no longer ordering troops into Afghanistan to establish a loyal government. The two superpowers have long since stopped tearing the planet apart, and thank God. But have they stopped?
