Iltutmish has replaced gold coins with silver coins. Shamshad Begum, Iltutmish's mother-in-law, is worried about her dead husband's fame. The Sultan's daughters, Razia and Shazia, are busy preparing special tokens of gift for him. Shamshad Begum is angry with Razia's ignoble behaviour.
