Manu sees a woman plead to Gangadhar to save her. The British troops drag away the woman and insult Gangadhar. Gangadhar thrashes the British soldier and tells him that he will not tolerate the Britons harassing the Indians. Tatya Tope praises Gangadhar. Tatya finds Manu and states that he was impressed with Gangadhar's behaviour, so if Manu becomes the Queen Of Jhansi, she would be able to uproot the Britons from India. Tatya informs the Peshwa that Manu is ready to marry Gangadhar.
